Thousands of EU staffers are striking this morning in a warning to national governments not to block their proposed 3.7% pay increase. It turns out most of the EU's 27 national governments feel that now is not the time to give the EU's bureaucrats a raise, when some of those same governments are—at the EU's own urging—freezing public payrolls back home.
